It’s always too soon, until it’s too late

UF Health celebrated National Healthcare Decisions Day to prompt crucial discussions about end-of- life care.

In the event of an emergency, have you designated a person to make health-related decisions on your behalf?

UF Health celebrated National Healthcare Decisions Day in April to prompt crucial discussions about end-of- life care. In conjunction with on-site events, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement brought The Conversation Project to our community. The “train-the-trainer” workshop encourages interested participants to learn more about advance directives and how to assist others in having these important conversations

Everyone age 18 and older is encouraged to complete advance care planning. This includes designating a health care surrogate, who will speak on your behalf if the need arises, and the completion of a living will.

Visit UFHealth.org/advance-directives to learn more about completing your own advance directive.
