Not so basic training

For residents, entry into residency means not only learning the ins and outs of their chosen specialty, but also becoming a crucial part of a health care team. Ensuring residents understand the myriad things within a health care system that can affect a patient’s care — and that they can effect the change needed to make improvements — is vital, which is why UF Health leaders have increased focus on quality improvement in residency in recent years.
