Over a year ago, UF Health implemented a new initiative — Hospitality and Service training — to faculty, staff, housestaff and volunteers who support patient care in several areas of the organization. Our goal is to enhance the way we interact with our patients, their loved ones, visitors and each other. This fall, UF Health leaders will introduce a new practice: Hospitality Huddles. Hospitality Huddles ensure that learning and discussion continues beyond Hospitality and Service training. Our managers and staff will explore what the standard of behaviors mean to our teams, how they apply personally and how we can use them to support our ultimate goal of quality patient care.
